Woah, Big News

Sorry about my tardiness in posting this week. That is my weight as of Tuesday morning. So we have had some big news this week. We found out that I am pregnant. This was not planned or expected, but it is a very happy occasion. I am worried though at the same time. I am worried about not having more time with Jonas, just him and I. I am certain the Jonas will be a wonderful big brother and I cannot wait to see him in action. I am still going to be continuing my exercise regimen, I am going to be changing my diet a bit though lol. So wish me luck, I will still be posting every week and still be a fit chick, I am guessing the my weight numbers will be going up though. Anyway, wish me luck!

So, i was having a few work out issues the past couple weeks, between Easter and my new Nephew Jordan being born, I had to miss a couple (or 4) workouts. So it was a slow week for me. I am getting back into the groove of things this week and I am feeling good about it. I was getting into a pretty funky mood, I think I maybe getting addicted to exercise.

I am a bit surprised at my results this week, because I missed three workouts because of Easter. I guess running after Jonas kept me burning calories this weekend and the amazing weather.

This jogging stuff is really paying off. I am officially at my pre-Jonas weight! This is really exciting for me because just three and a half months ago I really had no hope that i would ever be at this weight again. I find myself looking forward to my jogging time through out the week. I cannot wait to challenge myself, try and push farther than the last time. I think that I am going to try and start jogging on my off days too, but I am going to try and do a route outside since it is starting to get nice. This is so exciting!

WHAT!?
I don't know what i did differently this week, but I am going to try and do it again lol. I have been jogging instead of walking. I can jog a mile and a quarter on average. I did jog a mile and a half the one day and I was very excited about that, but I haven't accomplished that again. I will though. I am still swimming after my work out, and it still feels awesome! I have been noticing that my weight seems to be distributed differently since I was pregnant. When I was at this weight before I could wear this one pair of jeans, but now they are still tight on me. Whatever, I will be getting in them sooner or later. I am pretty excited because I am almost at the 40lbs. mark. I am also almost half way to my goal! The half marathon is coming up quickly too. I am feeling a bit better about it now that I have started to jog.

So this past week I have found that I can jog. I really enjoy it and I am trying to push myself further each time that I get on the treadmill. I feel like a new person!

Hey guys. I haven't really posted much other than my weight loss lately because I really didn't think many people were following this. I guess more people that I thought are which is awesome! I went to the seamstress yesterday so that she could tell me what she can do with my wedding dress. Her name is Amy Johnston (check out her blog). She is super nice and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs to get any alterations. Also I have found the joy of going to the gym before I go swimming. I can swim so much better because I am warmed up so nicely. I am trying to work on training for the half marathon. I am actually pretty nervous about it. I can do about a seventeen minute mile now. At that rate I would finish in 3hrs. 58 min. Assuming I keep up the same pace the whole time. I don't know. It will be nice having people there to help push me and keep me going. I am probably just worrying over nothing. It is going to be wicked fun! GO FIT CHICKS!!!

This week has been pretty crazy. I had some issues with my period and had to take pills to get it started again. Needless to say after not having it for almost 2 years it is back with vengeance. I tried Jillian Micheals Thirty Day Shred and she literally kicked my ass. I did it on Thursday and went swimming afterward. I am not sure if I over did it with that AND the swimming, but my legs have finally stopped feeling as though they are going to fall off. So here is to this week being better than the last.
I found this awesome rabbit that weighs like 42lbs.

So today is the fifth weigh in. I am thinking that my weight loss is slowing down a bit so i would like to add a day at the gym. I definitely need a gym partner because i just give up so easily because I dislike the treadmill and such. It just all seems so boring to me.

Yesterday I had a Dr. appointment in Latrobe because I have not had my period since I stopped breastfeeding and it has been almost three months. Now I have to get a pelvic sonogram and some blood work done to check some stuff out. I hope I do not have to go on any medications. I guess it could just be that the lining in my uterus hasn't built up again after having Jonas. Or it could be a number of other things. I would just like to get it straightened out so that I know what is going on with my body. Well at least have some idea.

Swimming


After today's swimming laps work out, I have fallen in love. Swimming is such great exercise and I enjoy it the whole time I am in the water. It is something that I can see my self over doing very easily. Today was a test run, I really didn't count how many laps that I did but all together I probably swam for about thirty minutes. I really feel good, I am just curious how I am going to feel tomorrow! haha. The swimming tiger is just a picture that I thought was cool. But to my credit it IS swimming.

Thwarted!


So today my efforts to actually work out were thwarted by the YMCA closing at the same time that I get off work. I am sticking to my diet, for some reason this has been extremely easy for me this time. I am in the zone and I am liking the results. I am happy that I have had the self discipline and sticktuitiveness. No that isn't a word. Haha! My plan for tomorrow is to go swim laps at the Y. It is nice though because my good friend Colby works there as a life guard so I will get to see her in addition to getting a nice work out. Life is Good :-)

I am loving the fan page for Megans brainstorm "If I Were a Fit Chick". We are both admins on it and we are getting a really great response from friends and family! Here is a link to it If I were a Fit Chick .
It is another way to help ourselves and others on their journey to physical fitness and health! I am so excited about all of this I cannot even describe it.


Today I am going to start incorporating exercise into my routine. It has been a week working on the food end of my total life makeover. I plan on starting out with some wii fit and then just go up from there. I really really like wii fit, it is fun and good in theory, I am not sure that it will give me the results that i want though. I am going to give it my best shot though. Last night I was supposed to do my before and after pics but I didn't get a chance to between work and baby boy so I will get that done tonight. You will all get to see my fat glory tomorrow folks, don't get too excited :-)

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I am going to be following a low fat reduced calorie diet with the help of alli. I am in day six of my diet. I am going to try to start doing a gym schedule. It is just difficult because of Jonas. I need to find out about child care at the YMCA. I did work there a while ago and I am not sure that my impression of the child care was all too impressive. I also need to watch myself monetarily. I have decided to be a copy cat also and do the weigh in on Tuesdays along with Megan (whos blog you can follow also at megowitz81.blogspot.com ).

My entire life I have had a love hate relationship with food and dieting. I am in it to lose weight this year. To feel better about myself, get healthy for my son, also so I am not a bad influence on him. I need healthy habits so that he has healthy habits. So i started my diet portion of my total life transformation on the first of the year. That seems to be the customary time to start these resolutions. So far I have been doing well. I intend to continue on this journey to its completion. The definition of it being complete is when I reach my goal weight of 175lbs. I will keep everyone up to date through this blog. My starting weight is 277lbs. as of this morning. 102 lbs. is a pretty lofty goal, but I will see it through.
