Yesterday I had a Dr. appointment in Latrobe because I have not had my period since I stopped breastfeeding and it has been almost three months. Now I have to get a pelvic sonogram and some blood work done to check some stuff out. I hope I do not have to go on any medications. I guess it could just be that the lining in my uterus hasn't built up again after having Jonas. Or it could be a number of other things. I would just like to get it straightened out so that I know what is going on with my body. Well at least have some idea.
Today was the first weigh in. Here are the results. Starting weight: 277lbs. Current weight: 274.5lbs. Weight Loss: 2.5lbs. All in all I would consider it a successful week. Now I just have to keep this thing going!
After today's swimming laps work out, I have fallen in love. Swimming is such great exercise and I enjoy it the whole time I am in the water. It is something that I can see my self over doing very easily. Today was a test run, I really didn't count how many laps that I did but all together I probably swam for about thirty minutes. I really feel good, I am just curious how I am going to feel tomorrow! haha. The swimming tiger is just a picture that I thought was cool. But to my credit it IS swimming.
So today my efforts to actually work out were thwarted by the YMCA closing at the same time that I get off work. I am sticking to my diet, for some reason this has been extremely easy for me this time. I am in the zone and I am liking the results. I am happy that I have had the self discipline and sticktuitiveness. No that isn't a word. Haha! My plan for tomorrow is to go swim laps at the Y. It is nice though because my good friend Colby works there as a life guard so I will get to see her in addition to getting a nice work out. Life is Good :-)
So, yeah. Pretty aweful. It can only go up from here. Well I guess down actually ;-)
I am loving the fan page for Megans brainstorm "If I Were a Fit Chick". We are both admins on it and we are getting a really great response from friends and family! Here is a link to it If I were a Fit Chick . It is another way to help ourselves and others on their journey to physical fitness and health! I am so excited about all of this I cannot even describe it.
Today I am going to start incorporating exercise into my routine. It has been a week working on the food end of my total life makeover. I plan on starting out with some wii fit and then just go up from there. I really really like wii fit, it is fun and good in theory, I am not sure that it will give me the results that i want though. I am going to give it my best shot though. Last night I was supposed to do my before and after pics but I didn't get a chance to between work and baby boy so I will get that done tonight. You will all get to see my fat glory tomorrow folks, don't get too excited :-)

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I am going to be following a low fat reduced calorie diet with the help of alli. I am in day six of my diet. I am going to try to start doing a gym schedule. It is just difficult because of Jonas. I need to find out about child care at the YMCA. I did work there a while ago and I am not sure that my impression of the child care was all too impressive. I also need to watch myself monetarily. I have decided to be a copy cat also and do the weigh in on Tuesdays along with Megan (whos blog you can follow also at megowitz81.blogspot.com ).

My entire life I have had a love hate relationship with food and dieting. I am in it to lose weight this year. To feel better about myself, get healthy for my son, also so I am not a bad influence on him. I need healthy habits so that he has healthy habits. So i started my diet portion of my total life transformation on the first of the year. That seems to be the customary time to start these resolutions. So far I have been doing well. I intend to continue on this journey to its completion. The definition of it being complete is when I reach my goal weight of 175lbs. I will keep everyone up to date through this blog. My starting weight is 277lbs. as of this morning. 102 lbs. is a pretty lofty goal, but I will see it through.
